Job description

We Want You to Grow With Us

Finance applications are at the heart of Intersnack’s financial control, planning, and compliance capability – spanning General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Controlling, and Planning & Analytics across a complex, multi-entity international organisation. As Group Solution Owner for Finance, you will report to the Application Service Delivery Lead – Business Enabling Functions and take full accountability for the change, support, and continuous improvement of the Finance application landscape across Intersnack. You will act as the embedded solution architect for your domain, lead a team of Business Analysts and Application Specialists (directly or indirectly), and serve as the primary point of contact between IT, Finance business stakeholders, and external service partners. This is a senior role with significant cross-functional reach, real ownership, and a clear path towards Application Service Delivery leadership.

What We Can Offer

This role gives you genuine end-to-end accountability over one of the most business-critical application domains in the organisation – with the autonomy to drive delivery decisions, prioritise improvement initiatives, and shape the Finance application roadmap across Intersnack’s global operations. You will work closely with Finance functional leads, group process owners, architects, and external application partners, and you will be part of a supportive IT organisation that values deep Finance domain expertise and invests in its people’s continued development. Based in Düsseldorf with a hybrid work model, you will have the platform to become Intersnack’s internal authority on Finance applications in a complex, multi-entity FMCG environment.

How You Will Spend Your Time as Our Next Group Solution Owner – Finance

You will own the full lifecycle of Finance applications – from requirements and solution design through delivery, operations, and ongoing improvement. Working daily at the intersection of IT and Finance, you will translate financial process requirements into effective system solutions, oversee 3rd-line support, manage external vendors, and ensure that every application in your domain performs reliably, compliantly, and in alignment with Intersnack’s technical standards and architecture.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the change management and ongoing support of Finance applications – including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Controlling, and Planning & Analytics – ensuring system performance and alignment with Intersnack’s technical standards and enterprise architecture.

  • Oversee the full solution delivery lifecycle for the Finance domain, covering business development, lifecycle management, and run operations – acting as embedded solution architect and prototyping designs where required.

  • Translate financial process requirements into actionable, high-quality application solutions, ensuring seamless system performance, data accuracy, and measurable business impact.

  • Lead a team of Business Analysts and Application Specialists – directly or indirectly – ensuring clear priorities, effective workload management, and strong capability development.

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with Finance stakeholders, superusers, group process owners, and external suppliers to drive effective governance and solution adoption.

  • Manage 3rd-line support for Finance applications, overseeing third-party service providers and ensuring adherence to service level targets in compliance-sensitive environments.

  • Design and support training programmes that enhance user proficiency and drive technology adoption across Finance functions.

  • Align Finance application solutions with Intersnack’s strategic business and financial goals, actively supporting digital transformation and process automation initiatives within the Finance domain.

  • Ensure that all Finance application solutions comply with enterprise IT standards, financial regulatory requirements, audit controls, and governance frameworks, working in close alignment with the Architecture and Finance teams.

  • Contribute to data migration, system integration, and technical modification activities within the Finance application scope, including financial close, consolidation, and reporting system integrations.

What We Expect of You

Essential Skills & Experience

  • At least 7 years’ experience in IT-related business process activities, including cloud solutions, data management, and multi-phase global ERP implementations covering Finance processes in complex, international environments.

  • Proven experience as a senior application or solution owner for Finance applications, with end-to-end accountability for delivery, support, and improvement of business-critical financial systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to support 3rd-line applications in a Finance context, manage outsourced IT services, and build effective relationships with external application service partners.

  • Strong understanding of core Finance business processes – including Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Financial Controlling, and Planning & Analytics – and their application system requirements in a multi-entity FMCG environment.

  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to optimise Finance system performance, ensure data integrity, and maintain operational continuity across complex, compliance-sensitive environments.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage Finance leads, auditors, group process owners, and technical partners effectively.

  • Strategic mindset with a proven ability to leverage Finance technology for process efficiency, reporting quality improvement, and compliance assurance.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multicultural, matrix-managed environment across multiple geographies and legal entities.

  • Familiarity with financial consolidation, reporting, or planning tools (e.g., Infor d/EPM, Cognos, or equivalent) and their integration with ERP and group reporting systems.

  • Experience with data migration, financial system integrations, and technical modifications using Infor Landmark Technology or comparable frameworks.

  • Previous experience in a global FMCG or multi-entity manufacturing company in an IT or Finance operations role, with an understanding of financial close cycles, intercompany processes, and audit compliance requirements.
